Men’s Counselling in Abbotsford & Online Across BC
You may be carrying more than the people around you realize.
Stress, anger, relationship difficulties, work pressure, or feeling disconnected from yourself can build over time and it isn’t always easy to know where to begin.
At RenHaven, counselling offers a private, non-judgmental place to slow down, understand what’s happening beneath the surface, and find a way forward that feels honest and true to you.
Men’s counselling can support you if you are:
feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or constantly on edge
experiencing anger, irritability, or difficulty managing emotions
dealing with stress, burnout, or pressure at work
feeling isolated, emotionally numb, or disconnected
struggling with addiction, substance use, or other coping habits
navigating relationship conflict, divorce, or separation
adjusting to fatherhood or other family responsibilities
questioning your identity, confidence, faith, or sense of purpose
navigating ADHD, Autism, or other neurodivergent experiences
carrying past experiences that continue to affect how you feel and respond
You don’t need to arrive with clear goals or feel comfortable talking about everything right away. We can begin with what is happening in your life now and move at a pace that feels manageable.
A Grounded, Collaborative Approach to Men’s Mental Health
Therapy is more than talking through a problem or being given advice.
It is an opportunity to better understand your emotions, relationships, patterns, and the ways your experiences may be affecting your body and nervous system.
Depending on your needs, counselling may involve developing practical tools for communication and emotional regulation, exploring the experiences beneath recurring patterns, and finding healthier ways to respond to stress, conflict, and change.
Joshua Abercrombie is a Registered Clinical Counsellor who specializes in men’s mental health. He brings professional training as a counsellor and educator, as well as a personal understanding of many of the struggles men experience.
Joshua believes that every person has inherent value and purpose. His approach begins wherever you are, building a supportive alliance where you can explore what has been holding you back and move toward greater clarity, connection, and confidence.
