Therapy may be helpful if you feel stuck in old patterns, overwhelmed by emotions, disconnected from yourself or unsure how to move through a difficult experience. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. It can also be a space for greater self-understanding, healing and personal growth.
-
Every session is different, depending on your needs and goals. You’ll have a supportive space to share what has been happening and explore your thoughts, emotions, relationships and physical responses. Your therapist may help you notice patterns, connect with what you’re experiencing in the present moment and discover new ways of relating to yourself and others.
-
The length of therapy depends on your goals, needs and the type of support you’re looking for. Some people come for short-term support around a specific concern, while others choose longer-term therapy to explore deeper patterns and create lasting change. You and your therapist can regularly discuss what is working and decide together what feels right.
