Approach
I offer a warm, collaborative space where you can bring your full self, including your faith, questions, doubts, and longings. My work is grounded in the belief that healing happens in relationships and that we are designed for healing within a safe therapeutic alliance.
I draw primarily from experiential and behavioural approaches, including Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), which helps us gently process emotions, repair relational wounds, and access the innate capacity for transformation. I also integrate tools from CBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and other approaches as needed. While my work is grounded in my faith, I meet people wherever they are spiritually and work in ways that feel respectful and relevant to each person’s story.
A little about me
After my parents divorced when I was 11, my sense of self and security was shattered and I felt lost and hopeless. At that time I became very depressed and was suicidal through my teen years, and throughout my early twenties I struggled with drugs and alcohol. These struggles sent me on a nearly two decade-long healing journey through various therapies, modalities, personal growth and ultimately led me to a stronger sense of harmony and a return to my faith in my 40’s.
For more than 15 years I worked as both a COO (Chief of Operations) and a business coach in the business world. I understand the unique pressures of being self-employed, building something from the ground up, navigating uncertainty, and carrying the weight of responsibility.
Over time, I have felt a deeper pull toward supporting others in their healing through therapy, something that helped me immensely with my own personal struggles. This pivot has been one of the most meaningful decisions of my life.
I am currently in the second year of my Master of Counselling program and beginning training in AEDP.
Outside of this work, I share life on a hobby farm with my husband and our two teen stepchildren, sheep, chickens, dog and cats. I am an avid gardener, flower grower and animal lover. The slower rhythms of farm life continually remind me of the value of presence, patience, and care - qualities I aim to bring into the counselling room as well.
